no celebration for today

by

i never really think that valentine's important. for me february 14 has never been a date i'm gonna put a red mark on. single or in a relationship, valentine doesn't change things too much for me. it's just an ordinary february 14. the only thing special for me on valentine: stores and public places suddenly turn PINK. yeah PINK. all over. the whole world turns lovey-dovey and yeah you'll see heart everywhere.

and this year, valentine is also the chinese new year. which means though i never put a red mark on february 14, it's red already :p well it's a celebration but i'm not a chinese and i'm a moslem so i don't celebrate chinese new year though sometimes i daydream about receiving angpau on chinese new year ha ha i wish. what chinese new year means for me: chinese people on the streets, on the stores, just everywhere. stores and public places suddenly turn RED. and it's raining. yeah it happens every year - rain on chinese new year.

so valentine + chinese new year = still nothing to celebrate

(oh by the way on this february i saw the ugliest valentine-chinese new year ornament in a mall in bandung. it's sooo very ugly, i think the designer tries to elaborate valentine and chinese new year so they make a VERY big golden heart that looks like a chinese ornament. but trust me you won't like it. it's UGLY. i wonder if the designer actually thinks his/her idea is brilliant, it seems impossible.)
